First Day (a week late)

Flight over was fine, Virgin Atlantic does a really nice job and the entertainment selection is very nice indeed. Managed to put pepper into my tea instead of sugar and being very tired I decided to drink it anyway, not something I would recommend.

Upon arrival at the hotel I found my room was not ready, so instead of the nap I had planned on I went to the office, as that was the only place I could think of going that was a short walk away.

Other random things from that uneventful and tiring first day:
--Almost got hit by a bike whilst (lingo alert) crossing the street
--Almost got hit by a bus whilst crossing the street
--Almost got hit by several cars whilst crossing the street
(As a result of the above I have decided not to cross anymore streets so I have just been walking around the same block for hours)
--Wandered around London for about an hour and half, getting the lay of the land
--Had a pint in 3 pubs by myself, kind of felt like the leper in the corner
--Watched several shows on Discovery and found that they re-dub the announcer with a Brit accent. It's very strange to watch a show about Alaskan King Crab fishing (which I've seen before) but being narrated by a Brit using slang.
